Williamson County Crime Stoppers

Safe School Program

Williamson County Crime Stoppers established a Safe School Program in 2009 that functions as an umbrella organization under the guidance of the Board of Directors.  All high schools and middle schools in Williamson County are encouraged to participate.  The initiative provides students and staff with a safe and anonymous way to report crime and potential danger.

This program supports Governor Abbott’s 2018 School and Firearm Safety Action Plan recommendation to “Expand Crime Stoppers operations and launch an awareness campaign for school employees and students to encourage the reporting of tips related to school crime.”

The Safe School Program encourages student participation by providing bumper stickers with contact information on district school busses, placing posters in prominent public places, and donating TV monitors to be placed in school common areas to announce upcoming school events, display current school notices, and remind viewers to use the Crime Stoppers campaign:

SEE SOMETHING OR HEAR SOMETHING, then SAY SOMETHING.

All information provided is guaranteed to remain anonymous and tips that lead to an arrest or school discipline may qualify for a cash reward.
